Experimenting with Slide Shows and Music
I'm experimenting a bit on slide shows and music. If you don't like the music you can scroll down to the bottom of the blog and change songs (Aaron - the Denver trip song is on the list). I got this idea from Jana and Mark Mayfield's blog (I saw that they posted on Lisa and Jordan's blog). This is a slide show of some pictures from Nyah's birthday as well as the visit from Aaron, Jana, Lisa, Jordan and Hallie.
You'll have to let me know if the slide show works for you or if it bogs down your computers.
Here's a quick thing. This evening Nyah and I were upstairs and her shoes were across the room. I said, "Where are your shoes?" "Go get your shoes" and she seriously walked straight over to them, picked them up and brought them over to me. :) Also, Miss Gail at day care reported that Nyah went six hours without her "lovie" (sp?) today.
Take care and I'll do another update this weeekend.

Quick Update
I don't have any new pictures but will have to get some taken in the next few days. Nyah is going crazy with her walking. She is loving it.
She is full of smiles and is enjoying her new room at daycare. She is in the Hippo I room now. This new room brought lots of adjustments - only one nap and no more bottles are the big ones. She's been in that room for 3 weeks now and it's going well. The fact that she's walking now helps because on a more even "playing field" with the other kids. They said they are going to take pictures during the day and e-mail them sometimes so we will forward those on when we get them.
The big news is Nyah chipped her front tooth (top). We aren't sure when it happened but think it must have happened at daycare on Friday. We noticed Saturday morning. It isn't really bad but hey, what do you do anyway? I know with the walking stuff she gets going too fast and loses her balance. I'm sure she fell and they didnt' notice her tooth so they didn't say anything. We had our dentist look at it today (he's in our ward) and he said not to worry about it. It didn't hit the nerve or anything. If she/we wanted to do something about it someday, they could rebuild it. I'm just glad it isn't any worse than it is. :)
Anyway, we hope all is going well for all of you and we'll blog again soon!

Uh-Oh and Signing
Well I'm taking Monday off this week instead of Friday so I thought I would take a minute and update the blog. Nyah is doing great with walking these days. She's getting more confident each day and is really enjoying the additional freedom.
She looked so cute when I went to wake her up from her nap the other day that I had to take this picture.

She is saying "uh-oh" (when she throws things on the floor especially) and she just said "baby" yesterday. She is also learning more signs. On the video she is signing more but has also mastered "eat" and "milk" and is getting the hang of "please". It's so nice to know what she wants!
There isn't much else going on other than the fact that I need to get serious about the training for the relay. I counted today and it is less than 10 weeks away! :)
Have a great day and take care.

At Last!
It has been a long time since I've posted anything! A lot has happened since I posted last. We celebrated Nyah
's birthday and Easter, had a fun visit from Aaron, Jana, Lisa, Jordan, and Hallie and Nyah's really getting the hang of walking! It's amazing what can take place over three weeks. Nyah's birthday went well. Here is a picture of her with her bunny cake. Ryan figured it would be approp
riate since her first birthday was on Easter. He picked the cake and then put me in charge of maki
ng and decorating it - what a deal for him! Lisa, Jordan, and Hallie were here for the celebration so that was fun.

I'll attach a video of the three crazy boys doing the sky coaster from the Royal Gorge. They were about a quarter of a mile above the water. The tram a
cross the Gorge made me a bit nervous but I decided that Jana going on a mission was my best insurance policy. There was also an incline railway that went up and down the side of the gorge. We also walked across the suspension bridge and decided that there weren't very many parts of our little adventure that Mom would have enjoyed. :) I decided that Jana going on a mission was my best insurance policy. At least we found an adventur
e for Aaron on his trip to Colorado.

I just had to laugh when I looked in the back seat on the way home from the store to see Nyah trying to pull off her shoes and not having a bit of success! :) She likes that they squeak when she walks though. This video is from last Sunday and she has even progressed more since then.
We also did a video of her signing "more" and saying "uh-oh" but we'll have to save that video a different day because it's past my bed time. I hope all is going well for everybody and adios!
